Masochist

It must be so easy,

Not having to care.

But I must be a masochist,

Because this is all I bear.

The weight of the worries,

the trepidation in their eyes,

the hope that I’ll change,

but we all know that’s a lie. 

I want to be that,

But please

help me

because I can’t seem to find

the ambition they have

in me.
