Soaring above the clouds and my misery,
Forgetting for just one moment.

Then brought painfully back down to the ground,
One touch of an oily hand to the back
Of my wings
Damaging me forever,

Crippling me.

Ascending away from the memories
chaining me to the ground
gets harder and harder,

My perfect spotted
Orange and black
Silky wings
are no longer protected
But rather wilted,
A mark from my enemy
Eternally attached to my body,

A parasite that never dies.
